Charles Greber (1853-1935) came from a large family of artists. His father was a sculptor of Austrian origin, his brothers Paul, Henry as well as his son and nephews, were all artists, sculptors, architects etc. Greber exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Francais. His production included architectural ceramics such as fireplace mantles, as well as a large range of glazed stoneware vases. He was a contemporary of Carries, Lachenal and Delaherche.
