Coquelle Le Creuset

Item No: D188/189

Designed by Franco-American Raymond Loewy (La Compagnie de L'Esthétique Industrielle (CEI)) - for Le Creuset in 1958, these cast iron casseroles are the Coquelle model.  Loewy also designed the Shell and the New Man logos.

There is a French proverb "C'est dans les vieux pots qu'on fait les meilleures soupes" (the best soups are made in old pots!). The English equivalent is "Many a good tune is played on an old fiddle!" Whatever your expression, these casseroles are both excellent for cooking in and are very stylish.

4.5 litre size Jaune Poussin and in good vintage condition. Weight 3Kg. SOLD

Sauteuse in Orange. Lid fits all. This was sold with a larger casserole and the lid fitted both items.  SOLD
