Louis Sognot (May 1892-May 1970) was a French decorator and designer. After studies at the Bernard Palissy School in Paris, he learnt cabinet making at Maison Jansen and later at Krieger.  After joining Printemps in 1920 he ran the Primavera workshop from 1931-1938. His first rattan designs were shown at the Salon des Arts Menagers in 1939 and after World War II he specialised in light wood and rattan furniture. He also produced lighting in collaboration with Serge Mouille.

Height: 69 cm Width: 27cm at widest. (27in x 10.5in). In good vintage condition with the original linen shade.
