The flowering of Lily of the Valley heralds the start of Spring and warmer weather at last. In France Lily of the Valley is sold everywhere on 1st May. This tradition was started in the Renaissance by Charles IX in 1561, when he offered this delightful flower to all his courtiers.
AnSeTa Pottery was established due to a growing interest in Mid 20th century design. We specialize in Vintage Ceramics, Glass and Lighting. Our range includes ceramics and glass from many European countries - we have Scandinavian, French, German items, to name but a few. During the course of our regular buying trips we also come across items of jewellery, objets de vertu and small pieces of furniture. Being teenagers in the 60's and early 70's, we were part of the London Fashion scene - Biba, Carnaby Street and the Marquee Club were favourite haunts. A love of textiles and kitchenalia sprang from these times.
We spend considerable time and effort on researching our items, and we have compiled Bibliography and Links sections, as well as a Designer/Factory Search, which we hope will be useful.
If you have any questions or indeed comments, please contact us - we welcome your input and we hope you enjoy our site as much as we enjoy finding the articles we put on it!
